FLORAL FOREST
The Forest Floral Group meets regularly to achieve these aims in our parish. We take part in the annual Floral Guernsey Community and Douzaine Room competitions, the overall winner of the Community competition receives a nomination to enter the finals of RHS Britain in Bloom competition the following year.
Apart from the committee, we have volunteers who assist us in many different areas. In the summer, dead-heading and watering are major preoccupations, and help is also needed with wombling (collecting litter), social and fundraising events, growing-on plants for our plant sale, assisting with the schools' gardening clubs, delivering letters, paperwork, etc, etc. We are forever grateful to our happy band of volunteers.
Our Committee Mission Statement reads:-
"To enhance the natural environment by encouragement, education and example thereby raising parish pride and self-respect for the benefit of resident and visitors alike; to make the parish a pleasure to pass through; to include the children of the parish; to keep on top of litter; to keep areas of special interest well maintained."

Come on a Monday morning for one hour and give a hand.
We will show you what to do at 10am at Forest Douzaine Room.
Once you know what you are doing you can help us at our other displays at Le Bourg bus top and top of Petit Bot or at the Chemin Le Roi Cemetery.
We finish with coffee and a chat at the Venture Inn at 11.00am.
You do not have to come every week, and if you want just appear for coffee at 11am for a chat.

We are looking for someone to take photos of the parish and our events in the parish.
